Full-Time Training - Testimonies

Needing Training to Serve the Lord, Jason Davis

I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to attend the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA). Prior to the FTTA I worked in a bookstore called Amana Christian Bookstore. For years I had been pulling books off Amana's shelves and reading them in my spare time. Books by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee were always my favorite. I got so much help from their ministry

I was very excited when I found out about a training that was based upon Watchman Nee's and Witness Lee's teachings. Since I wanted to be trained to serve the Lord the FTTA was the perfect place for me. (My University of California at Berkeley degree in Rhetoric was not adequate for serving the Lord, though while learning the degree my papers focused much on Christian issues as they relate to the history and theory of rhetoric.) Just like Jesus had to train His disciples and the Apostle Paul had a training in the book of Ephesians and so many other faithful Christian teachers had a training, I thought that it was great that Witness Lee had a training too. The Lord knows that I needed training.

My parents were also so happy that I went to the FTTA, though they are not in a local church. (My Mom is Catholic and my Dad is a nondenominational Christian.) They really saw a difference in me each time I would come home for the break. What I gained from the training, I believe, is eternal. I enjoyed Jesus Christ so much in the two years that I was there. I had two years full of Bible truth and experience that makes a big difference now that I am working again at Amana Christian Bookstore. I am able to help other Christians grow in their Christian life much more now, and if people are not Christians I am better able to help them experience Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
